When shooting your photographs for each assignment you need to make sure you follow ALL the rules.

You must have a pass (each person)

You must stay on task

You cannot go into a classroom with students present

You cannot be loud and interrupt classes (avoid going by the classrooms period)

You can go outside but must stay on campus

You must be respectful
-
You must make sure all photos are school appropriate in content

Manual Photography
LT: I can take photos using manual mode. I can identify shutter speed, aperture and ISO in photography.
Most professional photographers take photos using manual mode on their cameras. Manual mode allows the photographer to control the light coming into the camera. This allows photos to be able to taken in all sorts of lighting scenarios and still turn out great.
The Exposure Triangle
We will talk about the different ways to control light using the Exposure Triangle. The Exposure Triangle consists of: shutter speed, aperture and ISO.​
3 Light Setup
Using the 3 lights will help give you a 3D-looking image on a 2D surface.

You will use 3 lights: Key light, Fill Light and Back Light to take your portraits for one day in the studio.
Types of Lights
Light is needed for every photo you take. It could be a little or a lot. Where you get your light source can be found below. All lights can have hard/soft qualities.

Assignment 1 - Types of Light
LT: I can capture different types of light.
Take pictures using the quality and types of lights.
Students will take 20 photos using the grid below.
When finished, create your contact sheet. Then work on editing your best images for each of the 4 combinations.

Then create a poster showcasing the best of each type and style.
4 Basic Lighting Placements
LT: I can use the 4 basic lighting techniques
There are several different lighting techniques we are going to use in the course. But first, we need to understand the placement of lights and the effect they have on an image.

Assignment # 2
Students will take 20 more photos using the 4 basic lighting locations. Students will use natural light and artificial light while completing this assignment

When finished, create your contact sheet. Then work on editing your best images for each of the 4 locations.

Then create a poster showcasing the best of each type and style.

LT: I can create a poster to showcase my best images.
As we have for each of the previous assignments, create a poster to showcase the best 8 images you have taken. Make sure to use a good layout and a title for the poster (your project title) with clear readable text. Use Photoshop or Canva. When finished, turn the poster into the Padlet as a PNG or JPEG
