When shooting your photographs for each assignment you need to make sure you follow ALL the rules.

You must have a pass (each person)

You must stay on task

You cannot go into a classroom with students present

You cannot be loud and interrupt classes (avoid going by the classrooms period)
-
You can go outside but must stay on campus
-
You must be respectful
-
You must make sure all photos are school appropriate in content

Let's put all your skills to the test.
Short Film
Learning Targets: I can create a 7 min short film using the skills I learned in Video 1 and 2.
Requirements
Overview:
Throughout the course of this class, you have learned a wide variety of video production skills while producing a variety of different projects. We would like to combine all of the learned skills with your creativity to create a final masterpiece. This final project will account for a large majority of your semester grade. It’s time
Project Specifics:
• The final project can be any type of video production you desire - as long as your idea and video content are appropriate for a school project and receive approval from Mrs. St.Clair.

Ideas include documentary, action, tv-show, short film, comedy, drama, news show, music video, etc
-
The final project must be at least 7 (seven) minutes in length.

The Final Project MUST have the following elements:

Multiple Camera angles/shots/movements per scene
-
Must film scene 3 times
-
Must film most at school, unless approved
-
Must have good audio and dialog
-
Must have an introduction with title and actor names
-
Must have credits with all jobs listed
-
Must have all dialog filmed as medium and close
-
Must be 7 minutes
-
Must have good lighting
-
Must have good editing
-
Must have good flow or continuity
-
Video track with ORIGINAL video
-
Natural Sound Track for video
-
Voice Track and Music Track – original.
-
Opening AND Closing Credits must BE CREATIVE (don’t rely just on the computer-generated graphics)

Execution of a Distinguishable Storyline or Plot

You will be required to develop the project through the entire production process.
-
The project proposal, treatment & script MUST be typed in the proper formats.
-
The storyboards and production schedules MUST be completed on the appropriate forms.
-
Students can work in groups of no less than 2 people.
-
The final Video Project file must include the group’s name in the file name and the title of your project on the Quick time export and nothing else.

o Execution of Storyline or Plot
o Video Quality
o Video Composition
o Audio
o Lighting
o Editing/ Flow/ Continuity
o Contento Use of Graphics/Animation
o Student Involvement
o Creativity
Pre-Production​
Step 1: 5 Ideas
Step 2: Story Starter
Step 3: Character outline
Step 4: Scene Outline/Storyboard
Step 5: Script



​​​​Production:
Step 1: Film - same clothes, costumes, location
Step 2: The person that wrote the scene is in charge of filming
Step 3: Film an establishing long shot for beginning of the scene
Step 4: Film scene 2-3 times using different shots and angles
Step 5: Get one Extreme close up for each scene
Step 6: Record good audio - use shotgun mic if needed. Check videos as you film

Repeat steps for each section of the video.

​​​​Post-Production:
Step 1:Edit your clips from your section of the script
Step 2: Add in special sounds and music/audio
Step 3: Reflim if needed
Step 4: Group member makes Poster
Step 5: Group member makes Intro to video
Step 6: Group member makes Credits
Step 7: Group member puts all videos together
Step 8: View video in its entirety, make corrections
Step 9: Re-edit then export and turn in final
