LEARNING TARGET: - I can record a voice over. I can add in lower thirds
Voice Overs/Lower Thirds
There are 2 skills you need to learn to create a news story. One is how to create a good voice over for your introduction and conclusion to your video. The other is to use Lower Third text graphics so we know who is talking. Each one will make the video more interesting and informative.

Voice Overs
Recording a voice over can be done in many ways. One can record on the camera or their phone. Or if you are in a quiet space, the best option is to use a USB Microphone and record right into your editing software. The video below shows how to record into Premiere using a USB Microphone in class.
Here is a 2nd video with more info.
Lower Thirds
LEARNING TARGET: I can use good backgrounds in my video
When creating your interviews, you want to make sure each person talking has their name displayed as a Lower Third. A Lower Third is a graphic located in the lower third of the screen. It will contain the person's name and their "role". The role is their position on the team, their grade, what they teach or do, etc.

One note, is to make sure the name is spelled correctly and all grammar and spelling is correct on the lower third. Use your intro questions, "What is your name and how do you spell it?" and " What is your role?" to help.
