LT: I can identify camera angles. I can use camera angles in film. I can add text over video. I can create a video based on a theme

Creative Camera Angles

In the last lesson, students learned about the basic camera shots used in film. These shots are standard across the board, but can be pretty boring. Directors and movie makers soon created different angles to try to make the shots more interesting and meaningful. We use the acronym WALLDO (not the character) to help remember these

This video has been assigned through Google Classroom for students to watch and to take notes. You will be responsible for this information when we have a quiz or exam.

Here is another video to watch that will show the camera angles in action and how they were used in a video.

Assignment

Students will create a video that uses all the angles in their video. Students will use the Text tool to add a text graphic with the name of each angle. Students will continue to use the 4 main shots during filming. Students will edit their video using Adobe Premiere. Students are still learning to edit, so don't expect any fancy effects to be added to help tell your story. Lastly, students will add in transitions and music to enhance their video.

Follow this shot list as you film and edit your project. Each shot should be in the order given on the list. Please complete the Shot List before filming, projects will be marked down or given a 0 if the shot list is not turned in or incomplete. The list is what you are filming so there are no surprises when I watch your video.
