Intro To Using Blender
In this lesson, students will start to use Blender. Students will create a new project, and learn the user interface and some shortcut keys. Then students will learn how to add in mesh objects and move them around. Lastly, students will be given the challenge to create their own object using the skills they have learned.

LT: I can use Blender at a basic level. I can move around in Blender. I can add mesh shapes in Blender. I can manipulate objects in Blender.
Learning the User Interface
LT: I can use Blender at a basic level. I can move around in Blender.

Adding Mesh Objects
LT: I can use Blender at a basic level. I can manipulate objects in Blender.
In this video, students will learn how to add mesh objects to the scene. Students will then learn how to manipulate and maneuver the objects.
Render
LT: I can use create a scene and render the image to turn in.
Students will set up a camera and a light to create a scene. Then they will learn how to render.
Turn in Render To - Object Mode First Render
Add Materials to Objects
LT: I can create and add materials to objects.
Students will learn how to add materials to their objects in this lesson.
Turn in Render To -Object Mode - Add Materials
Build a Character
LT: I can use the mesh objects to create a basic character
Now that you have worked a little in Blender, use the objects to create a monkey character
Render Monkey Character
LT: I can fix my camera and render an image
Now that you have the character made, fix the scene and render the image to turn in
Turn in Render To - Object Mode - Build a Character
Make a Pencil
LT: I can use object mode and tools to create a pencil
Usig the skills you have learned in this unit, create a pencil using different mesh objects. You can scale and rotate as needed. When finished, turn in the render file.
